O2 Dental Group of Wilmington sits on Market Street in Ogden, just minutes from Mayfaire, Porters Neck, and the bridge to Wrightsville Beach. We’re a full-service dental office, which means a cracked molar on a Tuesday morning, an implant consult, an Invisalign check-in, and your kid’s first cleaning can all happen under one roof — often the same week, sometimes the same day.
Patients come to us because they want a dentist who explains things clearly, gives them time to ask questions, and doesn’t push treatment they don’t need. That’s the bar we hold ourselves to every visit.
Same-day appointments available when our schedule allows. New patients welcome.
Our office is in the Ogden corridor at 7150 Market Street, between Gordon Road and Porters Neck. For most of our patients, that location matters — it puts us within a short drive of Mayfaire shopping, Landfall, the Wrightsville Beach causeway, Ogden Park, and the I-140 interchange that connects Brunswick County and Pender County.
That geography shapes how we run the practice. We see retirees from Porters Neck and Landfall who want long-term restorative planning, families in the Ogden and Murrayville school zones who need pediatric and orthodontic care, professionals working off College Road or downtown who can only break away on lunch hours, and patients driving in from Leland, Hampstead, Castle Hayne, Burgaw, Monkey Junction, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach because there isn’t a same-day, full-service office closer to home.
We’ve designed the schedule, the technology, and the team to match what Wilmington actually needs: an established dental home for families, fast turnaround for emergencies and crowns, advanced implant and cosmetic care without a referral, and a front desk that speaks both English and Spanish.

A cracked tooth on a Saturday or sudden swelling on a Monday morning gets prioritized. Our emergency slots are reserved daily for patients in pain, and we’ll walk you through what to do over the phone before you arrive.

Implants replace single teeth, support bridges, or anchor full dentures. We handle planning, placement, and the final crown or prosthetic in-house when possible, with 3D imaging guiding every step.

Veneers, whitening, bonding, gum contouring, and full smile makeovers — designed around your face, not a template. We show you previews before we start.

Thin custom-shaped porcelain shells that correct chips, stains that don’t respond to whitening, gaps, and worn edges. Most patients complete veneers in two to three visits.

A discreet alternative to braces for crowding, spacing, and bite issues. We scan instead of using messy impressions, and most patients pick up trays every six to eight weeks.

Routine cleanings, exams, digital X-rays, oral cancer screenings, fluoride, sealants. The least dramatic — and most important — part of keeping dentistry simple long-term.

One office for every age in your household. Mom’s whitening touch-up and your son’s first cleaning can be back-to-back.

Gentle first visits, kid-friendly explanations, and a team that knows how to make a cleaning feel routine rather than scary. We see children starting at age 3.

A digital scan replaces the old goopy impression. The crown is milled while you wait and bonded the same visit. One appointment instead of two.

For patients diagnosed with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea — or partners tired of snoring — we offer custom oral appliances that reposition the jaw to keep the airway open at night.

Traditional dentures, partials, implant-supported dentures, and bridges to replace one or several missing teeth. We focus on fit, function, and a natural look.
Wilmington has plenty of dental options. Here’s why patients from Ogden to Leland keep coming back to O2:
Toothaches don’t schedule themselves. We hold time on the calendar every day for emergencies and try to see urgent patients the same day they call. If you’re in pain, call (910) 377-6453 first — we’ll triage over the phone.
A traditional crown takes two visits and a temporary. Our in-office CEREC milling unit lets us design, mill, and bond a permanent ceramic crown in a single appointment for most patients. One numbing, one drive, done.
Cleanings, fillings, implants, Invisalign, cosmetic work, dentures, kids’ visits, sleep apnea appliances — we keep care in-house whenever possible. Fewer referrals, fewer waiting rooms, one team that knows your history.
Digital X-rays use a fraction of the radiation of film, intraoral cameras let you see exactly what we see, and 3D imaging supports precise implant planning. You’ll see your scans on the screen and understand the plan before any treatment starts.
Veneers, whitening, bonding, smile makeovers, and Invisalign clear aligners are all available here. We design cosmetic plans around how your smile looks when you talk and laugh — not just how it looks closed.
We see children starting at age 3, and we keep visits unhurried and low-pressure. Parents can stay in the room. We’re patient with first-timers, nervous kids, and adults who haven’t been to a dentist in years.
We file with most major dental insurance plans, verify your benefits before treatment, and offer third-party financing. For patients without insurance, the O2 Advantage Plan covers preventive care and gives you a discount on additional treatment for a flat annual fee.
Comfort isn’t a poster on the wall. It’s the tone of the team, the time we take to explain things, the option to pause during a procedure, and treatment plans you actually understand before you say yes.
Tenemos personal que habla español, desde la recepción hasta los planes de tratamiento.

Dr. Olu Oyegunwa is the founder and owner of O2 Dental Group. He built the practice around a simple idea: dental care should be easy to access, easy to understand, and comfortable enough that patients actually come back.
With more than 15 years of experience placing and restoring dental implants, Dr. Olu has guided hundreds of patients through single-tooth replacement, implant-supported bridges, and full-arch implant solutions, with a consistently high success rate across his cases. That clinical depth shapes how the Wilmington office approaches implant care — careful planning, in-house technology, and time spent walking patients through their options before any decision is made.
As O2 Dental Group has grown across North Carolina, Dr. Olu has stayed focused on what makes a practice feel different to patients: clear communication, modern treatment planning, advanced technology, same-day access when it matters, and team members who treat people the way they’d want their own family treated. His leadership sets the standard for every O2 location, including the Wilmington office on Market Street.

Plan for about 60 to 90 minutes. Your first appointment includes a new-patient exam, digital X-rays, a periodontal evaluation, and a cleaning if your gums are healthy enough to clean that day. If we see something that needs attention, we’ll show you on the screen, explain your options in plain language, and put together a written plan with cost estimates — no pressure to decide on the spot.
Please bring:
New-patient forms can be filled out online before you arrive to save time.
Dental pain doesn’t wait for a convenient appointment. Call (910) 377-6453 — we hold time every day for emergency patients and will do everything we can to see you the same day.
Common emergencies we treat:
If you’re a current patient calling after hours, our voicemail will direct you. If it’s a true medical emergency — uncontrolled bleeding, difficulty breathing, swelling that’s affecting your airway — go to the nearest ER. Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is the closest.
A dental implant is a titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. Topped with a crown, bridge, or denture, it functions, looks, and feels close to a natural tooth — and unlike traditional bridges, it doesn’t require grinding down the teeth on either side.
We offer:
Every implant case starts with a consultation. We take 3D imaging, review your medical history, evaluate bone health, and walk you through realistic timelines, costs, and outcomes. If you need a bone graft, sinus lift, or other preparation, we’ll explain it before you commit to anything. Financing is available, and we’ll help you understand what your insurance does and doesn’t cover.
Cosmetic dentistry is about more than white teeth in a photo. It’s about a smile that fits your face, looks natural in conversation, and holds up over time. We offer:
Before we start anything cosmetic, we’ll show you what the result is likely to look like — through digital previews, photos, and conversation about what you actually want. The goal is a smile that looks like yours, just better.

We’re in-network or accept benefits from most major dental insurance plans, and our front desk will verify your coverage before your visit so you know what’s covered and what isn’t.
Dental insurance plans we accept:
Don’t see your plan? Call (910) 377-6453 — we may still be able to file your benefits as an out-of-network provider, and most patients still receive meaningful coverage.
No insurance? The O2 Advantage Plan is a membership option that covers preventive care — cleanings, exams, and X-rays — for a flat annual fee, plus a discount on additional treatment. It’s designed for patients who don’t have dental benefits through work and don’t want to deal with the runaround of an insurance company.
Financing. Larger treatment plans — implants, full-mouth restorations, cosmetic work — qualify for third-party financing with monthly payment options, including interest-free promotional plans for qualifying patients.
We’ll never quote a number without showing you the breakdown.
